+Garment Designer and Product Developer (womenswear and menswear)

What you'll be Doing:

This is an exciting opportunity to have a big impact on a small but high growth brand. Pulling on your wealth of industry expertise and creative eye for fashion, style and colour, you’ll bring to market, timeless on brand designs fit for our countryside customer.

 

Design development:

  • Market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques
  • Present story, mood board, colour boards to the team
  • Work with co-founders and other key colleagues to collectively decide upon the design direction and colour themes for each new season.
  • Create product sketches of new product and style concepts

 

Product Development:

  • Expertly create Tech Packs and BOM’s with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Oversee and manage product life cycle from inception through to final – creating up-to-date and detailed sample trackers and critical paths.
  • Ensure all timelines are met including tech packs and sample deadlines.
  • Test quality of product and fabric samples (wash tests, all day wear test etc.) to ensure that the fabrics and product samples are of excellent quality
  • Review each product for style, fit, and revise if necessary.
  • To interact regularly with our factories and fabric mills and arrange useful visits throughout the year.
  • Communicate with manufacturers confidently and clearly on a daily basis.

 

Required skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years garment design and/or garment development experience
  • Appropriate qualification in fashion
  • Very creative with proven ability of designing beautiful product collections
  • Excellent garment construction knowledge
  • Sound understanding of fabrics
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud – specifically Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

Hours

Full time (37.5 hours a week). 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

One day working from home (most weeks).

Part time may be considered for the right individual.

+OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

What you’ll be doing

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across key areas of a high growth fashion brand. The areas you will have involvement in include packing orders, helping with customer emails, supporting with wholesale relationships and assisting the Operations Director with other admin and invoicing tasks.

You’ll be passionate, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and be willing to get stuck in.

Packing online & wholesale orders – Daily picking and packing of online and wholesale orders.

Replenishing stock – Replenishing stock in the correct locations, updating the Operations Director if you notice stock on a product is running low.

Customer returns and exchanges – Processing and managing all customer returns and exchanges on a daily basis.

Community – Assist with responding to customer emails and social media messages.

Assisting with wholesale relationships – Checking in with wholesalers, assisting with enquiries, introducing new products and creating invoices for new orders.

General Business support – supporting the wider business with tasks that require additional assistance.

 

Required skills & experience:

  • Eager to learn
  • Comfortable working alone and in a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated natural ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Great eye for detail and accuracy
  • Full driving licence – confident driving

Hours

Full time (37.5 hours a week). 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

Occasional weekend and overtime working during exceptionally busy periods such as during sales and if required to set up show stands. Time in lieu will be given for any weekend working.

 

Salary: £22,400 - £24,400
